Do’s of scholarship essay
1.Plan before you write
Writing a professional scholarship essay needs a lot of planning. Use the opportunity to get your facts right. Put them together then create an outline and stick to it.
I have applied for many scholarships and failed. When I asked one of the professor what might be wrong, he asked me one question; do you brainstorm?
Of course, I had never planned any of my essays.
During planning, write down the information to include in the introduction, body and conclusion. This is the best time for you to recall important things. Take a pen and paper and brainstorm ideas. You don’t want to get stuck in the middle of your writing; neither do you want to leave important facts.
Please also remember about your audience. Plan well and you will not fail. And even if you will not get that one scholarship, in a list of ten applications, you may win six of them.
